Amazon Fire TV Stick · our recommendation
Best value for money. Fire TV Stick 4K Max (~CHF 75): Wi-Fi 6E, Dolby Vision, Alexa remote. Sideload TiviMate or IPTV Smarters in 5 minutes. ⚠️ Avoid the « 4K Select » model: its new Vega OS blocks IPTV app installation.
Android TV boxes (Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, etc.)
More powerful, ideal for 4K HDR and emulation. Nvidia Shield Pro (~CHF 220) is the reference; Xiaomi Mi Box S 2nd gen (~CHF 70) is enough for most. Built-in Google Play Store.
Smart TVs (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS)
Convenient: no box to plug in. But the IPTV app ecosystem is limited (SS-IPTV, Smart IPTV). No TiviMate. Google TV-based Smart TVs (Sony, TCL, Hisense) are the exception and accept the same apps as an Android TV box.
