The EPG (Electronic Program Guide) shows what is on: title, time, synopsis. Without EPG, IPTV is just a wall of logos.
EPG format · XMLTV
IPTV EPG uses XMLTV, served as .xml or .xml.gz. Your provider gives you a dedicated EPG URL.
TiviMate · add an EPG source
Settings → EPG sources → Add → paste the XMLTV URL → Save. Then force « Update now ».
IPTV Smarters Pro
With Xtream Codes the EPG is automatic. Otherwise: Settings → EPG management → add the XMLTV URL.
Smart IPTV / SS-IPTV
In the app's web portal, paste the EPG URL in the dedicated field then reload on the TV.
Quick troubleshooting
- Empty EPG → check that channel IDs (tvg-id) match
- Wrong time → adjust the time zone in settings
- EPG slow to load → prefer the .xml.gz version
